City Inspired Office Space is one of our favorite jobs. The space challenge put before us was to create an inspiring, functional, and comfortable office setup that would embody the spirit of the branding agency’s aesthetics. With a 433 SqFt area, we were able to create a layout that felt open and airy yet still had separated areas for each of its staff members to work in.
We used furniture pieces that would help divide the areas but were also functional to the space. The entryway bookcase serves both as an “entry” to the space with @brandpoets logo and as a place to store items. All the working stations flank the walls of the room with a large, open area in the middle for people to congregate. The middle area has a furniture unit that stores office supplies and also offers extra working stations for temporary interns. The walls above the desks are lined with charcoal felt board so the team can pin inspiration images, family photos, or any art they are working on. Capping the felt board is a long black metal shelf where Brand Poets exhibits all the wonderful artwork that they have done throughout the years.
On the opposite side of the room is the kitchenette. We separated this area from the rest of the office space by designing a raised bar height table (finished in a fun bright yellow -the color of the agency!) that worked as a place for the staff to sit and take a break, as well as a visual divider from the working area of the office. And did we mention the high-top table also helps hide any potential mess in the kitchenette?
We love how this place feels -bright, cheerful, and inviting!
